Bills quarterback Josh Allen was compared to Cam Newton early on in his NFL career.
During Allen’s rookie season, the two ended up crossing paths during the preseason. Newton recently recalled that encounter.
Referencing praise heaped on Allen by another outlet, Newton said on the 4th and 1 Show podcast that he thinks he is a faster runner than Allen. In terms of another attribute, Newton admits no way.
Newton said in 2018 he saw Allen’s arm strength first hand. During that preseason game against each other, Newton said Allen threw away a ball which nearly went the length of the field.
“That (expletive) threw it 80 yards,” Newton exclaimed.
