2025 4-star WR Kelshaun Johnson has committed to Texas A&M

2025 4-star WR Kelshaun Johnson has committed to Texas A&M!

Boom! Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class has added its 19th commitment in the cycle, as 4-star wide receiver Kelshaun Johnson, who had to delay his announcement the last two weeks due to Hurricane Beryl, has finally committed to Texas A&M over rival Texas on Tuesday afternoon.

Set to enter his senior season at Hitchcock HS, Johnson’s gravitation to the Aggies was a slow roll, but with new A&M offensive coordinator Collin Klein’s system coming into play, which relies on speed and precise route running, committing to a program clearly on the rise under head coach Mike Elko’s leadership was too good to pass up.

After losing out on 4-star wide receiver Taz Williams to Baylor, Elko and his staff knew that landing Johnson would be crucial to achieving their future offensive goals.

Standing at 5-11 and 160 pounds, Johnson possesses impressive speed and route running skills with the ability to play on the outside or in the slot while serving as a kick/punt returner early in his college career.

According to 247Sports, Johnson is currently positioned as the 192nd-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 20th-ranked wide receiver, and the 27th-ranked prospect in Texas.
