Warriors power past Bulls for second straight win in Las Vegas Summer League, 92-82

The Warriors notched their second straight victory in the Las Vegas Summer League with a 92-82 win over Matas Buzelis and the Bulls on Sunday.

The Summer League edition of the Golden State Warriors are on a roll. After sweeping the California Classic with three straight wins at San Francisco’s Chase Center, the Warriors opened up the Las Vegas Summer League with a win against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.

During their second Las Vegas Summer League contest on Sunday, the Warriors showed no signs of slowing down.

In a showdown with the recent No. 11 overall Matas Buzelis and the Chicago Bulls, rising sophomore Brandin Podziemski led the Warriors with another impressive performance.

Podziemski was all over the court for the Warriors, registering a double-double with 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field with four made 3-pointers along with 12 rebounds and seven assists in 36 minutes.

Trayce Jackson Davis added a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards against the Bulls. Daqwon Plowden, Donta Scott, and Kevin Knox II also recorded double-figure scoring numbers on the way to Golden State’s 92-82 win in Las Vegas.

Buzelis lived up to the hype for Chicago, scoring a game-high 28 points on 10-of-22 shooting from the field with four made 3-pointers, five rebounds and two steals in 34 minutes.

Riding a five-game winning streak in the Summer League, the Warriors will be back on the floor in Sin City on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7 p.m. PT.
