Jeffery Simmons slams Titans media, reacts to Jamal Adams signing

Jeffery Simmons is not a fan of how some reporters cover the Titans.

As Tennessee Titans star defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons returns for his sixth season with the team, he’s witnessing quite the turnover around him, especially in the secondary.

After adding L’Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie earlier this offseason, the Titans made yet another addition to their secondary on Thursday, with the team inking Jamal Adams to a one-year deal.

Adams is expected to take the other starting safety job next to Amani Hooker, and while he certainly comes with plenty of concerns, he’s an intriguing addition for a few reasons. You can check out more of our thoughts on the signing right here.

While the signing received mixed reactions on social media, Big Jeff made it quite clear he’s a fan of it. “Let him cook” is a reference to general manager Ran Carthon, by the way.

After sharing his reaction to the Adams signing, Big Jeff also took time out to criticize Titans media for being negative about the team’s players.

Simmons didn’t specifically mention any reporters (although Titans fans can probably guess who he’s talking about), and it’s also unclear if his comment was spurred on by some of the negative reactions to the Adams signing.

“I just be seeing a lot of tweets and hit that bookmark! How do some of you guys cover us (Titans) but hate us so much,” Simmons wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if any reporters ask Simmons about his comment when training camp rolls around later this month.
