The Tennessee Titans have reportedly finally made an addition at the safety position, something the team has been expected to do for some time now.
According to ESPN’s Turron Davenport, the Titans and safety Jamal Adams have agreed to terms on a deal. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal is for one year, although financial terms were not disclosed.
Adams has a connection with the Titans through defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, who served as his position coach from 2017-19 with the New York Jets.
A former first-round pick (No. 6 overall) of the Jets, Adams spent the first three years of his career with Gang Green and was once considered one of the best safeties in the NFL.

However, things went downhill for Adams after he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2020. Since then, the veteran has had a ton of injury issues and hasn’t been very effective when on the field.
That said, the Titans needed to make an addition at safety. Not only was one of the projected starters, Elijah Molden, a question mark, the team was also lacking depth at the position.
