Is Jrue Holiday making case of Hall of Fame?

There is an argument to be made here.

Now that the dust has settled on the 2023-2024 National Basketball Association season, with the Boston Celtics winning the NBA Finals, discussions on some of the best players have started.

Jrue Holiday had a monster series for the Celtics in their efforts to win 16 postseason games and bring home the title. For former Bruins guard Jrue Holiday, it was his second NBA title in his career.

Over his career, Holiday has scored more than 16 points per game, 4.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists. Holiday has also been one of the best defensive players in the league as well during his time.

The latest discussion at Sports Illustrated was the case Jrue Holiday is making to reach the NBA Hall of Fame, per Matt Levine of All Bruins. While the case certainly is not closed, and he may be on the outside looking in, he is not out of the picture.

While he may fall short of a bid for the Hall-of-Fame, Holiday is still a very good player. The Hall-of-Fame is reserved for the elite of the elite and Holiday may not make that cut.

This isn’t a knock against him but the simple truth of how hard it is to qualify for that honor.

Holiday will return to the Celtics for the 2024-2025 season. The team has their entire championship roster locked up for next season.
