Michigan football is loading up on safeties in the 2025 cycle with two top 100 prospects committed in four-stars Kainoa Winston and Ivan Taylor. Though it would appear that the Wolverines would be full at the position, is there a chance they could land another?
If nothing else, the aforementioned duo isn’t scaring off another elite safety.
2025 Monroe (N.C.) four-star safety Jordan Young, rated highest by ESPN at No. 39 overall, dropped his top four on Tuesday, and the maize and blue made the cut, along with Clemson, Florida State, and North Carolina State. Clemson is the presumed leader with the lead in both the 247Sports Crystal Ball and On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Michigan did appear to be in a good position for Young, though still likely trailing the others. Now that the Wolverines have two commits at the position, it’s unlikely that Young will want to join such a crowded room given his other opportunities.
