With a new quarterback, the offensive line is going to be very important in 2024. They’ll need to give Brock Vandagriff time to throw, and open holes for a whole new set of running backs. A player being counted on to come in and help in that regard is Gerald Mincey.
Mincey was a three-star recruit in the 2020 class, and committed to the Florida Gators. He was a top 50 tackle in his class, but wasn’t able to lock down the starting job and transferred to Tennessee for the 2022 season.

He spent two years with the Volunteers, and started 13 games. However, he transferred to Kentucky after last season, and is expected to start at right tackle.
Mincey is a veteran player with starting experience, which matters for the Wildcats, who will start four Seniors on the line this season.
Kentucky is looking to surprise a lot of people this season, and have a talented team. However, they need the offensive line to hold up in a difficult SEC. Getting quality play at right tackle will be a big part of that, and they need Mincey to play well.
