The Philadelphia 76ers will be one of the more active teams in the league in the free agency market. They have a ton of cap space as President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey will look to add a third star next to Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey to contend in the East.
The big name that has been attached to the Sixers is Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George. There is a lot to be determined when it comes to that situation, but should George want to stay in LA, there will be plenty of other options for Philadelphia.
Per Sam Amick of The Athletic, there is some interest in a 4-time NBA champion in Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson:
A league source said Philadelphia has interest in Thompson.
One has to be interested in what Thompson could bring to the floor in Philadelphia. He has, obviously, lost a step a bit, but he is still somebody who can put the ball in the basket and be an elite shooter. He did shoot 38.7% from deep in the 2023-24 season and one has to believe he can bring that to the Sixers should Philadelphia bring him in.
