D1Baseball recently released its list of All-Americans for the 2024 season. Two LSU Tigers have been named second-team All-Americans and both of the players are pitchers.
[autotag]Luke Holman[/autotag] and [autotag]Griffin Herring[/autotag] are the two Tigers who have earned second-team All-American honors. Holman had his best year collegiately as he finished the season with a 9-4 record and a 2.75 ERA. He struck out 127 hitters while only walking 33 in that span. He has put himself in a position to hear his name called early in the 2024 MLB draft.
Herring was the best pitcher on the staff this season finishing with a 6-1 record and a 1.79 ERA. He struck out 67 hitters, walked 13, and had six saves. If Herring returns next season, he will be one of the starting pitchers on the roster but he finds himself as one of the top 250 players in the 2024 MLB Draft Prospect List.
Both of these guys were pivotal to LSU’s success this year and both of them have a bright future ahead of them.
