One of the nation’s top uncommitted 2026 prospects officially came off the board Monday afternoon, as highly-touted quarterback prospect Dia Bell announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns.
An elite 2026 prospect, Bell is currently considered as the No. 2 quarterback in the class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 10 overall prospect nationally. Bell also ranks as the top player in the state of Florida where he attends American Heritage High School.
A rising junior, Bell started all 12 games for one of Florida’s top prep teams a year ago as a sophomore, completing 64.6% of passes for 1,929 yards and a 20-4 TD-INT ratio. Bell also rushed for two more scores as well, and is set to return for an American Heritage team that is expected to be one of Florida’s best once again in 2024.
The commitment of Bell is now the second for Texas in the 2026 cycle, as the quarterback now joins four-star athlete Raycine Guillory. Bell is also the first five-star quarterback to commit to Texas since Arch Manning in the 2023 class.
