Jrue Holiday dominates as Boston Celtics go up 2-0 in NBA Finals

Another win for Boston.

The Boston Celtics moved two wins away from being NBA Champions for the 2024 season. Former UCLA Bruins star guard Jrue Holiday led the Boston offense with 26 points, and 11 rebounds to anchor a 105-98 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Holiday was the leading scorer for Boston in the game. Luka Doncic scored more than him for Dallas, in a losing cause. After his great defense in game 1, Holiday was strong again, holding Kyrie Irving to just 16 points in the game.

During the regular season, Holiday was fifth on the team in scoring with 12.5 points per game. During the postseason though, Holiday has had a pair of 25+ games for the Boston offense.

The series now shifts to Dallas for Games 3 and 4. The next game is on Wednesday. The Mavericks will have their desperation shoes on, as they look to avoid going down 3-0 in the best-of-7 series.

Five Celtics scored double digits in the game, including Kristaps Porzingis, who came off the bench for 12 points in 23 minutes.
