The Wildcats finished the season with a 39 – 12 overall record. They came in behind only the Tennessee Volunteers in the top 25, though Kentucky did receive one first place vote.

The SEC dominated the final regular season poll, as it did all season. The top four teams were all from the conference, and five of the top ten were were SEC opponents. That makes Kentucky’s 22 – 8 conference record even more impressive.
Up next for the Cats is the SEC Tournament. They will meet the LSU Tigers in the opening round. After that will be the NCAA Regionals. Kentucky is predicted to be the top overall seed by many.
