There are a handful of former UCLA Bruins basketball players in the NBA playoffs still. One of them is Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday, who has been a big part of the roster after coming over in a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Bruins made more headlines recently by striking a commitment from McDonald’s All-American and former USC commit Trent Perry in what has been a massive offseason for Mick Cronin’s program.
Well, Holiday took to X and made sure to congratulate Perry for his decision, quoting UCLA’s signing notice with a welcome message: “Welcome to the @UCLAMBB family!! @trent_perry0″
Perry is a massive addition to the roster and makes the 2024-2025 group even more talented. Add in the six transfer portal players Cronin has landed this offseason, and there are a lot of reasons why UCLA is in the way-too-early top-25 rankings.
It’s a huge success so far for UCLA as they make the move to the Big Ten Conference.
