Ford’s start to the 2024 NASCAR season has been pretty rough. NASCAR is entering its 12th official points weekend of the year, and Ford has yet to win an event. The manufacturer has shown speed but cannot get into victory lane. Now entering May, Ford’s winless streak has reached new levels, and the statistics are becoming more glaring by the weekend.
According to NASCAR statistics expert Trey Ryan on X, Ford’s winless streak has reached 29 races in the top three levels of the sport. It’s officially the second-longest winless streak for Ford since 1983, with the longest being 42 races ending in 2010. This is shocking after Ford swept the NASCAR championships in 2023.
Ford is on the verge of winning a NASCAR race as Cole Custer came close at Dover Motor Speedway. Also, Brad Keselowski had two straight second-place finishes before last weekend. Ford’s winless streak to start the 2024 NASCAR season was pretty unexpected, but it should be broken soon as its entries are showing speed.
