Laiatu Latu will be in attendance for the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit on Thursday night. Where he gets selected remains to be seen, and mock drafts have Latu’s landing spot as an extremely fluid one.
Ryan Roberts of College Sports Wire released a full seven-round NFL mock draft. In it, he had Laiatu Latu going to the Miami Dolphins at No. 21 overall.
Here’s what Roberts wrote about Latu going to Miami:
With injuries to Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips this past season, the edge position has gotten a little thin. Both players are expected back by the start of the season but there is also a possibility that Chubb could be gone after next season. Latu is a nuanced pass rusher who could add an immediate boost in that department.
Latu to the Dolphins is a projection that is nothing new for Ryan Roberts, as he had Latu going there a while ago before other mock drafts had his landing spot as different.
So, here we are again, and it’s a very realistic landing spot.
