Former UCLA Bruin Laiatu Latu has been in the spotlight for quite some time now. The highest-rated defender in his 2024 NFL Draft class, Latu now will be featured on NFL Films’ “Hey Rookie” documentary series.
The annual series follows top prospects in each year’s draft. Latu, a standout on the field with an inspiring backstory, is the perfect fit.
Following a neck injury, which many believed would end his football playing career, Latu made an incredible recovery and became college football’s premier defensive end prospect. Today, he is a consensus first-round draft selection and has the potential to go in the top ten.

Latu joins the likes of LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers, Penn State edge Chop Robinson, and Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold. In such elite company, the buzz around Latu could help his draft stock rise.
Though no one knows where Latu will go until draft night, it is safe to assume he will be going early and become one team’s pass-rusher of the future.
