WR prospect Malik Nabers has top-30 visit with Cardinals

Nabers was scheduled for a top-30 meeting with the Cardinals on Tuesday before going to meet with the Chargers on Wednesday.

The Arizona Cardinals are seriously considering the wide receiver position in the 2024 NFL. After a number of visits with other receivers, one of the biggest names in the draft was in Arizona Tuesday.

According to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, the Cardinals hosted LSU receiver Malik Nabers Tuesday for an official top-30 visit before meeting with the Los Angeles Chargers on Wednesday.

Nabers is expected to be selected in the top 10 of the draft this month. The Cardinals have the fourth overall pick and, unless they trade out of the pick, are expected to select a receiver.

Nabers is an exciting talent. He is six feet tall, 199 pounds and has elite athleticism. He ran the 40 in 4.35 seconds at his pro day and posted a 42-inch vertical leap.

He is scary after the catch.

After 1,017 yards and three touchdowns in 2022, he had a monster 2023 season, catching 89 passes for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Most have Nabers ranked as the second-best receiver in the draft class behind Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. but many would not be surprised if he ended up being the first receiver taken in the draft.

The Cardinals might be the team to do it.
