Cowboys DT Neville Gallimore to sign with Miami

From @ToddBrock24f7: The native-born Canadian, a third-round draft pick out of Oklahoma, will head to South Beach on a reported one-year deal.

The defensive defection in Dallas continued Wednesday.

This time, it was defensive tackle Neville Gallimore, who has agreed to a new contract with Miami, as first reported by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport. The 27-year-old will accept what’s said to be a one-year deal to join the Dolphins, who ranked as a top-10 unit in yards allowed last season and finished third leaguewide in both quarterback sacks and pressures.

Gallimore was a third-round draft pick by the Cowboys in 2020 out of Oklahoma. The Canadian-born big man got into 14 games as a rookie and then saw action in 41 more (including playoffs) over four seasons with the club.

Gallimore leaves Dallas with 90 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 9 QB hits, four sacks, and three passes defended on his résumé.

He’s the latest Cowboys defender to depart this week, following Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr.- both of whom went to Washington- out the door of The Star.
