With new Texas A&M offensive line coach Adam Cushing set to enter his first season with the program, change (hopefully positive) is imminent in the trenches. Recruiting standards at both the guard and tackle positions are also expected.
Looking to add more athletic prospects across the line, especially at tackle, Aggies head coach Mike Elko has ventured to California to visit and offer several key 2025 prospects, including 3-star offensive tackle Maki Stewart out of Long Beach (CA).
Receiving an offer from the program on Jan. 23, Stewart, who stands at 6-6 nearly 300 pounds, has gained nearly 20 offers, while the Aggies stick out as his most significant offer outside of Florida State.
This week, Stewart released his Top 5 program, which includes Florida State, UCF, Utah, Arizona State, and Texas A&M. With experience at both tackle and guard, Stewart has consistently displayed footwork, hand placement, and athleticism to thrive on the outside at the next level.

According to Rivals, Stewart is currently positioned as the 38th-ranked player in California and the 55th-ranked offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class.
