The latest 2024 NFL mock draft from CBS has Drake Maye dropping out of the top-10

Could the North Carolina QB drop out of the top-10 in April?

While a ton of the buzz is around how Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy has increased his 2024 NFL draft stock, there’s also some of that talk about how his North Carolina counterpart, Drake Maye, has dropped a bit after he was pegged as a top-two QB before the NFL combine.

He was the No. 1 overall pick in Christian D’Andrea’s latest mock. But in the latest mock from CBS Sports Maye isn’t even a top-10 pick. No, he goes No. 11 to the QB-needy Minnesota Vikings, who may not retain Kirk Cousins. McCarthy, by the way, goes No. 6 to the New York Giants.

Here’s Chris Trapasso’s take on Maye:

The top 10 couldn’t have played out better for the Vikings here, as Maye falls into their lap at No. 11. He ticks all the boxes.
