The connection between the Buffalo Bills and LSU wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. is likely going to continue to grow following the 2024 NFL combine.
That’s because there has been contact between the two sides confirmed. The 2024 draft prospect said at the combine he met with the Bills.
Selecting at the No. 28 overall slot, Thomas has been a popular pick for the Bills in pre-draft predictions. Even ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. recently predicting Thomas ends up in Buffalo.
Likewise to pending free agent Gabe Davis, who Thomas would end up replacing in any scenario he is taken by the Bills, he is a large target.
But Davis never really rounded out his game. Where Davis struggled in was his route running, and according to The Draft Network, he might profile similar to Davis. His deep-ball ability is praised but his route tree is not.
Thomas, a 6-foot-4 receiver, had an impressive breakout 2023 at LSU with 68 catches for 1,177 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Regardless of shortcomings, Thomas is considered a Round 1 talent at the upcoming draft by many. Pro Football Focus is another, as the football analytics outlet has him slotted in as the No. 29 player on their 2024 draft big board.
