The measurements are in for UCLA’s 2023 Lombardi and Ted Hendricks Award winner.
Laiatu Latu, the defensive end standout for the Bruins, measured in at the NFL Combine on Thursday.
Lauded as one of the best edge prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft, Latu overcame injury and adversity in his collegiate career. However, Latu’s 40-yard dash time and measurements back up his play on the field and his potential as a prospect.
Weighing in at 259 pounds and standing at 6′ 4″, Latu ran a solid 4.64 in the 40-yard dash. In addition to his 78.25-inch wingspan and 32.62-inch arm length, Latu is every bit as big and built as expected.
Though questions of his injury history may follow him to the NFL, his ability to return from a potentially career-ending injury is cause for optimism. Latu’s commitment to the game and raw talent make him a slam dunk for any team in the 2024 NFL Draft.
It is just a matter of where he goes in the first round.
