Patrick Mahomes is a three-time Super Bowl champion and well on his way to becoming the best quarterback we’ve ever seen in the NFL. He’s also not alone when it comes to future Hall of Fame quarterbacks and less-than-spectacular showings at the NFL combine.
But man, NFL Network did not have to do Mahomes like that.
Just one day after Mahomes jokingly requested that NFL Network stopped using his 40-yard dash as an overlay for the combine, the broadcast crew ignored Mahomes’ request and opted instead to use the overlay for defensive tackles T’Vondre Sweat and Braden Fiske.
Bright side: Mahomes didn’t finish in last … he didn’t finish in first either, though.

Needless to say, Mahomes was not pleased to see the overlay make its return. He also couldn’t have been too excited about seeing a defensive tackle running a better 40 time than him.

But hey, at least he had Sweat beat. That would have been a tough one to lose.
Fans also loved Mahomes’ reaction. He should have known that was coming.
