Texas A&M (4-0) homers their way past Incarnate Word (3-1) with a 9-3 victory at Blue Bell Park.
So far, the Aggies are doing what a top-ten team should be doing: beating the teams on paper they should easily defeat. Also, to everyone’s delight, the pitching across the board has been solid, with the staff getting a lot of arms and some work over the past four games. Despite a few issues dealing with the off-speed pitches, the offense has been top-notch. Overall, it’s been a great start to the season, and this should be an exciting team to follow this year.
Coach Jim Schlossnagle talked about the difference between how this game went compared to how games like this would have gone last year.
“I thought tonight was one of it was actually my favorite win of the year. Last year we would have walked seven or eight guys someone would have got one up in the wind and that would have been a dog fight the rest of the night.”
Below, you can watch the full post-game presser with Coach Schlossnagle.
The Aggies begin a three-game home series on Friday at 6 p.m. versus Wagner College of Staten Island, New York.
