After a long offseason, the 2024 LSU baseball team will finally take the field for a game that counts on Friday afternoon.
Coach [autotag]Jay Johnson[/autotag] and the Tigers will begin their national title defense at Alex Box Stadium with a matchup against VMI, which will be the first of a four-game weekend set. They’ll face the Keydets again on Sunday and will draw Central Arkansas in games on Saturday and Monday at The Box.
VMI is coming off a 26-29 losing season that ended in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament with a loss.
