Seahawks defensive coordinator Aden Durde was ‘born for football’

The biggest unknown in the bunch is defensive coordinator Aden Durde.

As Seahawks fans get to know their new head coach Mike Macdonald, one thing is becoming very clear early on – Macdonald is all about trying different things and being open to new ideas. He has reinforced these themes in every conversation he’s had with the media since he was hired and that philosophy is also manifesting itself on his coaching staff.

One of the most interesting things about the growing group is that all three of Macdonald’s coordinators do not have any coordinator experience at the NFL level. The biggest unknown in the bunch is defensive coordinator Aden Durde, who just spent three seasons working under Dan Quinn as the Cowboys’ defensive line coach. Durde has also put in time with the Falcons in a variety of different roles.

Here’s a clip the NFL UK account shared with some background on Seattle’s new DC.
