With the 2024 NASCAR season beginning at Daytona International Speedway this weekend, a new organization has entered the picture. On Friday night, it was revealed that [autotag]Floridian Motorsports[/autotag], a team owned by Scott Osteen, will attempt the NASCAR Truck Series race at Daytona. [autotag]Mason Maggio[/autotag] will drive the No. 21 truck in the effort,
Floridian Motorsports is a newly founded NASCAR organization, and it is no secret why Maggio will be its competitor. The 19-year-old driver is from Palm Beach, Florida, and has experience in the Truck Series with 10 starts. The only issue for Maggio and Floridian Motorsports is the owner points, as they must qualify on speed at Daytona.
Super excited to be heading to @DAYTONA next weekend with the newly found Floridian Motorsports.
Crazy to think Mr. Osteen brought this idea to me at the beginning of the month. Now we’re going to attempt to qualify for the biggest race of the year! pic.twitter.com/dsRcRegDKf

According to TobyChristie.com, there are no scheduled starts outside of Daytona for Maggio and Floridian Motorsports; however, there is a possibility that more can be added. The hope is that the No. 21 truck can participate in the Truck Series race on Friday night and then reevaluate any plans. Maggio racing with a Florida team at Daytona would be a dream.
