After scoring back-to-back road wins over the past week, Penn State men’s basketball returned home to host Iowa on Thursday night. The Nittany Lions made it three Big Ten wins in a row with an 89-79 victory over the Hawkeyes thanks in large part to a big game from Ace Baldwin Jr.
Baldwin Jr. led Penn State with 22 points. Penn State leading scorer Kanye Clary got back on the court for a few minutes off the bench after missing each of the last two games with an injury.
After being tied at 21-21 in the first half, Penn State went on a 14-4 run to pull away from Iowa, but the Haweyes battled back. Each time Penn State created some separation, Iowa dug in to catch up. But a 71-71 tie in the second half led to one more Penn State run to go up by double-digits to close out the home win in the Bryce Jordan Center.
