Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian spoke with the media on national signing day.
With the way college football has changed and evolved, Texas didn’t sign a single player on Feb. 7. Most of the newcomers signed in December and are already on campus participating in offseason workouts.
However, Sarkisian touched on a variety of other topis on Wednesday.
The fourth-year head coach expressed gratitude that he still has the core of his coaching staff in place from when he arrived in Austin. He did mention that just about every coach on his staff was offered another job this offseason. The Longhorns lost Jeff Choate and Bo Davis to other programs, but kept its three coordinators and strength coach among others.
In regards to the roster, Sarkisian touched on the need for wide receivers this offseason, Quinn Ewers being the clear starter at quarterback, and the hiring of defensive line coach Kenny Baker.
