Auburn receives votes in preseason USA TODAY Baseball Coaches Poll

The Tigers will face six teams ranked in the preseason USA TODAY Baseball Coaches Poll in 2024.

The Auburn Tigers are just a few weeks away from throwing the first pitch of the season and will begin the 2024 campaign on the outside looking in of the USA TODAY Baseball Coaches Poll.

The initial poll was released Tuesday and Auburn will begin the season in the “receiving votes” category alongside fellow SEC member Kentucky and in-state foe Troy.

Auburn will face six teams ranked in the preseason poll, beginning with No. 11 Virginia on Feb. 25 as part of the Jax College Baseball Classic in Jacksonville, Florida. Auburn will open SEC play with No. 6 Vanderbilt on March 15 in Nashville and will go on to face two top-10 teams in No. 4 Arkansas and No. 8 Tennessee in two of the three ensuing weeks.

Auburn will close its April schedule by visiting No. 2 LSU in Baton Rouge and will close the regular season by hosting No. 17 Alabama at Plainsman Park May 16-18.

In addition to facing six ranked teams, Auburn will also see five teams who are receiving votes in the preseason poll. The Tigers host UConn for a three-game set March 1-3 before facing Troy at Toyota Field, home of the Rocket City Trash Pandas, on March 12.

The Tigers will host Kentucky and Ole Miss for SEC weekend series’ this season and will play a home-and-home rivalry series with Georgia Tech on April 16 in Auburn and May 7 in Atlanta.
