Bills officially name Joe Brady offensive coordinator

#Bills officially name Joe Brady offensive coordinator:

The Buffalo Bills came into this offseason having to figure out plenty of matters on the team, including who will be the offensive coordinator moving forward.

After the way Buffalo recovered from a 5-5 start to win the AFC East and give themselves a chance to make it to the AFC Championship game, the choice was clear.

The Bills announced on Sunday that they have officially named Joe Brady, who was the interim offensive coordinator for this past season after the firing of Ken Dorsey, the permanent OC moving forward. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported on Thursday that Buffalo would be starting its interview process for filling the OC role by giving Brady the first interview.

As Bills Wire pointed out on Saturday when covering the news of Brady being the first person interviewed for the job, it seemed to be a formality that Brady was going to be hired for the position. After Brady took over as acting OC, the Bills went 6-1 to finish the season thanks to the renewed commitment of running the football with running back James Cook and quarterback Josh Allen.

More to the point, plenty of players, including Allen, supported Brady assuming the position on a permanent basis. However, with the passing game still an issue when the Bills needed it most this postseason, Brady will have to figure out how to get that phase of the offense back on track.
