The Browns are looking to rebuild their offensive coaching staff in order to diversify their scheme. They’re attempting to build an offense that plays to the strengths of Deshaun Watson and running backs coach is one of the available positions.
Earlier in the week, the Browns held their first interview for the position when they brought in former NFL running back Duce Staley. After retiring from the NFL, Staley started his coaching career in 2011. According to a report from Browns Insider Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland has competition for Staley’s services as the New York Jets are also looking to hire him.
The team seems to be taking its time identifying targets to join Kevin Stefanski’s staff as it hasn’t had many reported interviews this week. It’ll be exciting to see who is brought in to try and help build up this offense for the 2024 season as Cleveland will look to continue its success from 2023.
