With one year of eligibility remaining, Seth McLaughlin wasted no time when it came to putting his name into the transfer portal after Alabama’s loss to Michigan in the Rose Bowl. The former Crimson Tide center has announced his commitment to Ohio State.
McLaughlin was a strong lineman who just had issues snapping the ball in 2023, many Tide fans, though, will choose to remember him for his performance against the Wolverines in his final game with Alabama. However, he will now have an opportunity to redeem himself against Michigan in 2024 as a Buckeye.
There’s no word yet on whether he will remain at center or be moved around the line, but there’s plenty of time before the 2024 season begins for Ryan Day and his coaching staff to figure it out.
