[autotag]Young’s Motorsports[/autotag] is trying to become more competitive in the NASCAR Truck Series; however, the 2023 season didn’t see the desired improvement. Spencer Boyd, the driver of the No. 12 truck, failed to earn a top-10 finish as the team’s only full-time competitor. Boyd ended the year with a disappointing 28th-place finish in the point standings.
As for the other drivers, Kaden Honeycutt was the only one to see true success. Honeycutt had two top-10 finishes in five starts. The Young’s Motorsports driver had a best finish of ninth place at Bristol Dirt and followed it up with a 10th-place finish at Darlington Raceway. Honeycutt was the only driver to display the speed that Young’s Motorsports desired.
In 2024, Young’s Motorsports has yet to make any announcements about its plans. Boyd had a disappointing season, so seeing someone like Honeycutt replace him in the No. 12 truck wouldn’t be surprising. Either way, Young’s Motorsports wants to see more success, and it may take changes among its full-time drivers to accomplish that goal.
