[autotag]Bret Holmes Racing[/autotag] finally became a full-time team in the NASCAR Truck Series for the 2023 season, but it wasn’t very successful. Bret Holmes failed to record a top-10 finish as the organization didn’t enter the last two races of the year to focus on 2024. Needless to say, Bret Holmes Racing had higher expectations entering its first full-time year.
Despite missing two races, Holmes finished 23rd in the point standings. The No. 23 team barely finished behind Lawless Alan and Colby Howard, so Holmes wasn’t the worst full-time driver statistically. Still, the organization had five top-10 finishes in 22 races over the last couple of seasons, so there was hope for more success overall.
In 2024, Bret Holmes Racing will return to full-time competition in the Truck Series as Holmes will drive the No. 23 truck. The hope is that Holmes competes at a higher level after a fresh start. If not, Bret Holmes Racing must figure out how to elevate its Truck Series program to the next level as they search for answers.
