The Pistons dropped a historic 27th-straight game and NBA fans were in disbelief

Oh no, Pistons.

The Detroit Pistons have officially lost the most consecutive games of a single season in NBA history.

Despite a valiant, 41-point effort from guard Cade Cunningham, the Pistons fell 118-112 to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night, notching the 27th-straight loss for the franchise this season, a new low for the NBA.

Things got so bad for Detroit that the crowd started to chant “Sell the team!” as the Pistons headed into their historic defeat.

While the Lions are giving Detroit fans a taste of good history, the Pistons are matching it with the rotten kind of history that’s hard to shake.

Like, this is really an unfortunate record for any sports franchise to set.

You have to feel terrible for the Pistons and their fans to endure this kind of atrocious losing streak. However, when that inevitable win finally comes, it’s going to be the kind of catharsis that few can even fathom.

Just hold real tight, Detroit fans. It’s bound to happen eventually … right?
