It has been a pleasant surprise for Los Angeles Rams fans to see Puka Nacua, their fifth-round receiver out of BYU quickly ascend the ranks at the position and become not only the best rookie wide receiver but one of the best in the league in general. With yet another explosive game on Thursday, Nacua is moving closer and closer to the most receiving yards in a single season by a rookie.
With already six games over 100 yards Nacua has had a dominant rookie season complimenting veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp and creating an elite connection with quarterback Matthew Stafford. With 1,327 yards on the season, Nacua already sits fifth all-time with two games remaining on an offensively motivated team.

Nacua would need to compile just 146 yards over the next two games in order to shatter a record held since 1960 by Houston Oilers wide receiver Bill Groman. It’s already an amazing story for the fifth-round pick and fans across the NFL who are not competing against the Rams will almost certainly be rooting for the young man to smash the longstanding record.
