Following a procedure, Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips has been placed on the team’s injured reserve list.
The team announced the transaction following Phillips undergoing surgery on his wrist earlier this week.

Phillips re-signed in Buffalo last offseason via a one-year deal. The 31-year-old will now have to spend at least four weeks on IR. With three games remaining in the season, Phillips is done for the stretch run.
Without Phillips, the Bills (8-6) did get some good defensive tackle news: DaQuan Jones is back. Buffalo opened his 21-day practice window, but he’s not going to play in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers (5-9) per McDermott.
Throughout recent games, defensive tackle Poona Ford has been a healthy scratch and he appears the most-likely candidate to fill Phillips’ shoes against the Chargers.
Earlier this season, tight end Dawson Knox had surgery on his wrist and was placed on IR. He spent five weeks sidelined.
Phillips has 2.5 sacks this season, including the one he recorded against the Cowboys.
