[autotag]JD Motorsports[/autotag] had several drivers onboard for the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, and it turned into one of their best finishes in a while. Brennan Poole, the driver of the No. 6 car, secured the organization’s first top-5 finish since Stephen Leicht in 2019. Poole ended the season 24th in the point standings with a 25.3 average finishing position.
Several other drivers, such as Ty Dillon, Kyle Weatherman, and Garrett Smithley, drove an entry for JD Motorsports but failed to secure a top-10 finish. The organization hasn’t shown the speed improvement to truly compete every week among the top teams in the series. Still, Poole had the best season for a JD Motorsports driver since 2020.
In 2024, Poole will not return to the No. 6 Xfinity car as he will join Alpha Prime Racing full-time. For JD Motorsports, Dawson Cram will drive the No. 4 Xfinity car full-time while the organization looks for drivers and partners with the No. 6 car. Hopefully for Cram, the organization will see an uptick in speed next year.
