Thad Moffitt to run full-time for new NASCAR Truck Series team in 2024

Thad Moffitt will run full-time for a new NASCAR Truck Series organization for the 2024 season. What are the details behind the new team?

A new NASCAR Truck Series team has been created, and a familiar face will join them as a full-time driver. [autotag]Thad Moffitt[/autotag], the grandson of NASCAR legend Richard Petty, will drive the No. 46 truck full-time for [autotag]Faction46[/autotag] in the Truck Series beginning in 2024. Moffitt hasn’t competed in NASCAR since the 2022 season.

Faction46 will be based in Oklahoma and co-owned by Lane Moore and his son Logan. The organization will run the full schedule and ally with Niece Motorsports. The organization will build the trucks for Faction46, so the equipment should be pretty solid. The new NASCAR organization was announced at the Petty’s Garage.

Moffitt only has four starts in the Truck Series, which all came during the 2022 season. The 23-year-old driver has a best finish of 18th place with Reaume Brothers Racing at Daytona International Speedway. This will likely be Moffitt’s best equipment to this date. It will be interesting to see how Moffitt and Faction46 run with support from Niece Motorsports.
