Bert Auburn has been as reliable as a kicker can be.
Being a kicker is not an easy job. However, Auburn makes it look effortless and has not missed an extra point attempt in his entire collegiate career, making all 103 attempts.
Coming to Austin from Flower Mound, the junior kicker boasts an impressive 83.1% field goal success rate, which is only slightly lower than that of the renowned Texas legend Justin Tucker, who holds a record of 83.3%.
During the Texas Tech game last week, Auburn managed to score a career-high 21 points. He made six extra point attempts and five field goals, with one of them being an impressive 54-yarder. It also marked the first time that he has made five field goals in one game.
Auburn has been a reliable asset for Steve Sarkisian, and with potentially more games on the horizon, Texas may need to rely on Auburn even further.
