LSU has a massive opportunity to add a statement win to its resume this week when it hosts No. 9 Virginia Tech, and that will officially be a top-10 matchup as the Tigers remained No. 7 in this week’s women’s basketball AP Top 25.
There was some shakeup in the top 10 as the Tigers are now tied with the Colorado team that beat them. The Buffaloes fell to No. 7 after suffering their first loss of the season in blowout fashion against an NC State squad that now ranks in the top five.
South Carolina and UCLA, which remain perfect on the year, held on to the top two spots. The Gamecocks also received all 36 first-place votes.
