Chargers sign former Packers OLB Justin Hollins ahead of Week 11 showdown

The Chargers signed former Packers OLB Justin Hollins ahead of Sunday’s showdown in Green Bay.

The Los Angeles Chargers, who go to Green Bay to play the Packers on Sunday, signed former Packers outside linebacker Justin Hollins off the practice squad of the New York Giants on Wednesday.

Hollins arrived in Green Bay off of waivers in November of last season. He returned to start 2023, made the 53-man roster coming out of training camp and played in four games before being released. He signed with the Giants practice squad on Oct. 24, playing in one game for New York.

Any worry about Hollins providing the Chargers with valuable intel on the Packers, either offensively or defensively?

“I don’t know,” coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday. “I’m sure they could get something out of it. I think more than anything, they are getting a really good football player. I have a lot of respect for Justin Hollins. They added another piece to a good pass-rush already.”

Hollins produced nine tackles, 2.5 sacks and four quarterback hits over 10 games with the Packers.

In Los Angeles, Hollins will replace outside linebacker Chris Rumph II, who was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday.

If active on Sunday, Hollins will be on the field wearing No. 58 for the Chargers.
