Jayden Daniels a clear Heisman contender after performance vs. Florida, per latest odds

Jayden Daniels still has some ground to make up in the Heisman race despite Saturday’s performance, but he’s in the mix.

The latest Heisman Trophy odds from BetMGM show a clear four-man race to win the award, and LSU quarterback [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag] finds himself squarely in that mix.

Daniels currently sits at +400 to win the award, behind only Bo Nix (+100) and Michael Penix Jr. (+275). He sits just ahead of receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who is at +450, and after that, there’s a massive drop-off in the odds.

On Saturday, Daniels became the first player in college football history to throw for 350 yards and rush for 200 in a single game against Florida. That performance seems to have solidified his candidacy despite LSU’s overall struggles.

It will be tough for Daniels to win the Heisman given the fact that LSU has already lost three games, but if he continues playing the way he is down the stretch, it would be hard to imagine he doesn’t at least get the New York invite.
