Despite the hype and overall talent of Victor Wembanyama, not everything can go right for the San Antonio Spurs. As one of the youngest teams in the league, there will inevitably be games where their inexperience shows, and on Monday night, the Spurs had one of those games.
San Antonio got the doors blown off them by the Indiana Pacers, falling by a score of 111-152. Led by Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers dismantled the Spurs, who were unable to stop the free-flowing offense of Indiana. Wembanyama’s defensive presence was mitigated by Haliburton’s beautifully-run Pacers offense. With the loss, the Spurs moved to 3-4 on the year.
