The Golden State Warriors (0-1) face the Sacramento Kings (1-0) Friday. Tip-off from Golden 1 Center is at 10 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Warriors vs. Kings odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: First meeting of 2023; Warriors beat Kings 4-3 in 1st round of last season’s playoffs

The Warriors opened their season by failing to cover as 3-point home favorites in a 108-104 loss vs. the Phoenix Suns as the Under (235.5) hit Tuesday. G Stephen Curry led Golden State with 27 points, and G Chris Paul finished with 14 points and a game-high 9 assists in his Warriors debut.

The Kings covered as 2-point favorites with a 130-114 win at the Utah Jazz Wednesday as the Over (234) cashed. F Harrison Barnes had 33 points, and C Domantas Sabonis added 22 points and 12 rebounds.

The Warriors were 3-1 straight up and 1-3 against the spread (ATS) vs. the Kings in 4 regular season meetings in 2022-23. The Under went 2-1-1.

Warriors at Kings picks and predictions

Prediction

Kings 118, Warriors 113

Moneyline

The Kings kicked off their season with a big win over Utah, while the Warriors faded late against a shorthanded Phoenix team missing G Bradley Beal.

Golden State was awful on the road in 2022-23, going 11-30 in the regular season. The Kings went 23-18 at home.

The Warriors did win their last 2 road games vs. Sacramento in the playoffs, but until they show consistency on the road — other than consistently bad — I’m not going to bet them to win, especially against 1 of the better teams in the Western Conference.

And with such a small spread, you get better value there.

PASS on the moneyline.

Against the spread

The Warriors were a dreadful 13-34 ATS on the road last season (including playoffs).

The Kings were only 20-24-1 ATS at home (including playoffs), but, again, until the Warriors show they are a different road team than last season, it is better to avoid betting them away from home.

BET KINGS -2.5 (-110).

Over/Under

In 2022-23, 3 of the 4 regular season meetings between the Warriors and Kings had fewer than 238 total points.

Four of the last 6 games between them in last season’s playoffs did not reach 235 total points.

BET UNDER 238.5 (-115).
