Our unedited notes for this week’s pod can be seen below.
- Packers (2-4) aren’t a good team. Are the Broncos hurting themselves by winning a game here and there and lowering their draft position?
- Maybe Sunday was more than just one dumb win. Sean Payton wants fans to believe better days are ahead.
- Last week, Payton pointed out that the Lions started 1-6 in 2022 before finishing with a 9-8 record. Detroit is now 5-2 this year.
- Pat Surtain and Romeo Doubs both came down with the ball in the end zone and it was ruled a touchdown. There are mixed opinions on if that was the correct call. How do we see it?
- After missing a field goal and an extra point in Week 1, Lutz has since gone 11-of-11 on FGs and 11-of-11 on PATs. He’s been clutch.
- Kareem Jackson was initially suspended 4 games but had it reduced to 2 games after appealing.
- Before Sunday, he had been fined four times for $89,670.
- Jackson has now been ejected twice this season and he’ll likely get another big fine this week.
- The good news is that P.J. Locke stepped up on Sunday and grabbed a game-clinching interception after Jackson was ejected.
- Denver kept it close last time but ultimately lost 19-8.
- Chiefs are an 8-point favorite this week.
- Can the Broncos get an upset win at home, snapping a 16-game losing streak to their division rival?
Ryan and I will return each week during the season to react to every game.
