It feels like it is time to accept that the opportunities for the Pittsburgh Steelers to come out and play a full four quarters of football are going to be few and far between this season. But knowing that, Pittsburgh still found a way on Sunday to overcome an ugly two-and-a-half quarters to come back and beat the Los Angeles Rams on the road.
But for head coach Mike Tomlin, he’s more or less decided it is just part of the business of Steelers football.
“They don’t blink,” Tomlin said. “They cut their eyelids off, and they go at it. Like I told them, it’s not a compliment. It’s required. I’m just acknowledging it.”
It is definitely not a compliment that this team falls behind so often only to have to claw back. And while we can appreciate that the team is able to fight back, it doesn’t mean putting yourself in that position is a good thing.
Now the Steelers head home to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars before a short week and Thursday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers.
