Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence had a message for the haters Saturday afternoon.
Y’all keep your opinions and we’ll keep finding ways to win 👀 #Analysts pic.twitter.com/22xQHp2SIA

Lawrence, 24, doesn’t tweet often, but it’s not the first time he’s called out the haters on social media. Back in May, he tweeted “the game ain’t played on paper” in response to an NFL Network segment that ranked him as one of the worst quarterbacks in the AFC.
While Lawrence didn’t say specifically who the “#Analysts” are that can keep their opinions, it seems like a response to former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman.
During the Amazon Prime broadcast of the Jaguars’ 31-24 win against the New Orleans Saints, Sherman said that Lawrence hasn’t shown himself to be the prospect that he was hyped up to be in 2021.
“He was supposed to be a generational talent. I just haven’t seen it.” —Richard Sherman on Trevor Lawrence

Sherman’s criticisms of Lawrence continued on social media as the game was being played Thursday night:
Amp brother I’m waiting on this fantastic Trevor that apparently I have been missing to show up. https://t.co/vPaW2iv85Z

Exactly! I’m speaking on what the tape says as objectively as I can. But since it’s not praising their favorite players then I’m the bad guy. T Law has 2 completions in the 2nd half. He has looked good running the ball but doesn’t look confident in the pocket right now. https://t.co/2qFWPdcOrj

Former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick agreed with Sherman’s assessment during the broadcast.
“Id like to see Trevor take the step from being the 15th, 16th, 17th best QB in the league into that next tier.” – Ryan Fitzpatrick https://t.co/yY9jDqB0lk

Lawrence finished the game with 204 passing yards, a touchdown, and 59 rushing yards. Through seven games in 2023, he has eight touchdowns with three interceptions.
